Medicine Buddha statue for Yuthok Ling Arce
STATUE & FUNDRAISER UPDATE
We’re thrilled to announce that the artist’s work on the new Medicine Buddha statue for the Tanaduk Garden of the Yuthok Ling retreat center in Arce, Italy has finally been completed!
This beautiful new Medicine Buddha statue (pictured above) is made of the protective metal copper and bronze, and coated with a protective sealant to make it resilient for the outdoors. His face is painted gold as a symbol of offering and respect, highlighted by a halo. Dr. Nida custom ordered a crown adorned with the healing stones of corals and turquoise, making this a very unique and rare Sambhogakaya form of Medicine Buddha.
Though the statue is on its way to Arce, we are still $6000 short of the remaining funds to finish this project which includes materials and labor for building the pedestal, ritual items for the statue consecration, and the freight and duty fees to transport the statue from Nepal to Italy.
We’re fundraising for the remaining funds through our next offering Spring Rejuvenation— a three-day Sowa Rigpa and Tibetan yoga course tailored for the Spring season March 7–9. Join us for three immersive days applying Sowa Rigpa wisdom and self care practices for the upcoming season!
